The Sports teacher's latest attempt to motivate the pupils, using Fresh Air Fitness equipment, has been a great success.
Training plans
The Government recommends that everyone should do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise 5 times per week or 20 minutes of vigorous exercise 3 times per week. Moderate exercise means having an increased heart rate and being slightly out of breath for the duration of your 30 minute routine.
Use the equipment in this outdoor gym as part of your exercise routine, it helps to create variety and to exercise parts of the body that you might not do otherwise. The exercise plans below are for guidance. If you are walking or jogging to the park, then that can be part of your 30 minute routine. Just ensure that you walk briskly using your arms as you walk. As you pump your arms you should aim to raise your hands above the level of your heart. Don't swing your arms across your body but in an up and down movement.
